Initially the School for Management Studies was established in the Year’2010 with the Department of Rural Management offering Master Course in Rural Management, MBA (Rural Management). Subsequently, Ph.D in Management, MBA (FM, HR, MKTG), M. Phil. in Management, BBA and B.Com (Hons) programmes were added to the School for Management Studies. In the year, August’2020, the name of the School was restructured as School of Management and Commerce. Further, two specializations were added in the MBA programme (Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development) and MBA (Defense Studies and Strategic Management) in 2022 and the department was renamed as Department of Management Studies.
