The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs[1] and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Mahatma Gandhiji’s Centenary year in 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community (esp. Villages) linkage.

The motto of NSS is “Not me But You” and Volunteers at NSS Cell of BBAU follow the motto in true spirit

NSS at BBAU started in 2016 with One unit, Today At BBAU, there are 03 unite of NSS enrolling 300 Students volunteers from all the departments of the University. We at NSS cell of BBAU have major focus on following objectives

Community Service by educating them on healthy and hygienic life stile

Makin poor and rural people and others aware about various government schemes for their welfare

Understanding the society where they live

Personality development of Volunteers

To further “स्वच्छ भारत” mission to every part of society
