Genesis of the Centre
Centre for personality development was inaugurated on 18th September 2014 with the aim of developing personal
qualities and skills of the students in general and from weaker sections of society particularly SC/ST, Minorities, PH, women and
OBC non creamy layer in particular. In today’s increasingly global and competitive work environment, students require skills beyond
their educational qualifications. In addition to job-related, technical know-how, students are expected to communicate effectively,
possess teamwork and leadership skills, and smart approach, motivated and confident. Together these skills are termed as soft-skills
or life skills. Building these skills requires an approach fundamentally different from conventional academic education. The areas of
assistance are English Communication Skills, Personality Development, Soft skills, Life Skills, Civil Services and Extra Curricular
Development, Concepts and Motivation etc
Objective
The main objective of the center is to develop confidence in the young minds of the University to face any interview/ selection
committee for the jobs /fellowships and
to pursue any other career by our students.

Mission
Providing Soft Skills through Training Programs on Personality Development for the Students
Functioning
CPD is conducting Training program per semester. Only 30 students are selected for one training program based on background,
need and urgency of the students. 15 days is the duration for each program. Training is on Every day from 3pm to 5pm.
The training program involves practice by participatory method, role plays and games and task
Activities
12 Training Programs are conducted. Total 520 students are trained from different departments.
Theory and practical tests are conducted after training. Certificate is issued to the successful
candidates.NCW requested CPD to conduct training program for girls’ students.
